The episode begins and we look back at last week’s episode, with both camps picking up the intensity and dealing with the surrounding issues on their own terms. Mayweather is sick of Ortiz’s story, Ortiz takes a day off with his team to go fishing. Both are pushing themselves in the gym and are sure of their chances on Saturday evening.

The episode starts with Team Mayweather and we see him pushing himself in the gym and training as hard as ever. We hear about his legendary work ethic, but also his penchant for the unpredictable, and we see a special night out party in Vegas that he has planned for his family, friends and team. They ride on some amusement park rides, cruise in some bumper cars, shoot some hopes, and more.

Then we switch to Victor Ortiz and his camp, and we see him working out in the gym with a huge audience, and talking about how suddenly he has a whole lot of extra attention and new people following him locally. Ortiz talks about being an open person and how fan support can be a pillow, a cushion. His camp talks about being involved in this kind of big event and what it means.

It’s fight week, and Ortiz says it’s down time until it’s fight time. Ortiz and Mayweather, along with 50 cent, are heading to a media event in California for a reunion of sorts before the fight. Mayweather says that Ortiz looked to Oscar De La Hoya as a god, and that’s already old news, because he already kicked his ass. The shit talking and posturing continues, and Ortiz heads to a private jet to fly to Las Vegas.

Mayweather though goes to Conan after the previous fan rally, and we see some footage of the two of them bantering. Then Mayweather pops into his own private jet and they cruise on over to Vegas. It’s late at night but that means it’s the perfect time for Mayweather to train. It’s 2:30 am, he’s being replayed on the television from his Conan appearance, and he’s in there at the gym, working the mitts, hitting the heavy bag, and more. His fiance Miss Jackson is there at the gym taking it all in as well.

Ortiz is in Vegas, and he says his thoughts are, OK, I’m here to end a career, and start a new one. While Ortiz is used to fighting and fighting in Vegas, he’s not used to the star treatment he’s getting. He’s flying on private jets and driving in limos and he has to sit back and appreciate it all. He heads to a local gym he’s used to working at, and he gets a pep talk from trainer Danny Garcia about staying focused and doing what he does best.

The morning after in Vegas, and it’s time for the fighter arrivals at the MGM. Ortiz come through a throng to enter the hotel, and then Mayweather enters to a huge scene as well and soaks up all of the energy and attention. Then it’s back to the gym for Mayweather and another training session. It’s “hard work and dedication”, and Mayweather says he has prepared for this fight very physically hard. He also says he thrives from entertainers and celebrities coming to his camp and supporting him and showing him love.

Mayweather says he doesn’t regret the blow up fight with his father, and that he’s not like De La Hoya, hiding. If he doesn’t talk to his father again, he’s ok with that, and this is just real. Then we flash to Mayweather working the pads with Uncle Roger.  Mayweather talks about Roger being older and a bit sick, but that he never forgets boxing, and when people think back they’ll think about the special bond they had.

Now it’s back to Ortiz for Mayweather vs. Ortiz 24/7 episode 4, and he gets a bit more attention here than last time as people have found out where he’s training at. Ortiz puts in another grueling workout, and trainer Danny Garcia talks about Ortiz being ready and confident… then we see him jumping rope with some new and improved skills of his own in a lighter moment.

We see Ortiz and his brother talking about the fight, about being the underdog, about what they are fighting for, and so forth. They know where they’ve been and what everything means, and also know how to keep it all in perspective.

It’s the final press conference now in Mayweather-Ortiz 24 7 episode 4, which means we’ve caught up to Thursday in fight week. Ortiz talks a good game about sensing nervousness from Mayweather, about putting that first loss on his record, and more. Mawyeather simply says he is way beyond being nervous in any fight, and then up in Ortiz’s face he says over and over again, “all work is easy work”.

Then we head into montage mode, as Mayweather-Ortiz 24/7 does very well. The narrator talks about their upbringings and history, and how they got to this point, and how they got the makeup that they do. Then we flash to a lot of rapid fire training shots, shots of their camps and loved ones, shots of each fighter, Mayweather and Ortiz, taking quiet moments of reflection.  24/7 is really pouring it on with what it all means, and the episode ends and Mayweather-Ortiz 24/7 Overtime begins…..

In this special feature, we have Jim Lampley hosting a round table discussion with Leonard Ellerbe from Team Mayweather, and Ortiz’s brother Timo there for the cameras. Lampley brings up a number of memorable clips from the 24/7 series and then asks Ellerbe and Timo for their opinions and about what all of the real stories were.

From there, it’s more interviews and short clips and features, behind the scenes footage and so forth to get everyone geared up for the Star Power fight on Saturday. Sugar Ray Leonard comes on and gives his thoughts on the bout, and the previews and hype continues. All the new stuff really happened in the episode itself, and this extra episode features some bonuses interviews and clips.
