As a prelude to the November 22 Manny Pacquiao vs. Chris Algieri HBO PPV, HBO Sports will air “24/7 Pacquiao/Algieri,” an action-packed one episode, 30-minute special examining the 147-pound showdown.
The “24/7 Pacquiao vs. Algieri” show will premiere Sunday, November 9th at 1:00 a.m. on HBO immediately following Saturday night’s World Championship Boxing event from Atlantic City, headlined by Bernard Hopkins vs. Sergey Kovalev

The all-new documentary-styled presentation will explore the intriguing storylines connected to the Nov. 22 fight: one of the world’s most popular and famous athletes defending his crown versus a remarkably confident, poised and undefeated prizefighter from Long Island, whose journey to the highest-profile stage in the sport is unparalleled and reads like a Hollywood script.
The quintessential underdog versus superstar storyline will be explored with”24/7” cameras visiting Algieri at home on Long Island and in camp in Las Vegas as well as traveling to the Philippines to visit with Manny Pacquiao as he trains for the fight.
The 30-minute special is narrated by Liev Schreiber and produced by HBO’s Emmy®-Award-winning “24/7” production team.
Will fans buy into Chris Algieri as a legitimate opponent, and a threat to Pacquiao? Is Algieri even a threat to Pacquiao? The 24/7 series also does a good job hyping up fights, surely they’ll convince some on the fence fans to make the leap and buy the PPV.
