24th annual Ring 8 Holiday & Awards Ceremony a Knockout Success

The 24th annual RING 8 Holiday Event and Awards Ceremony attracted more than 400 people last Sunday afternoon at Russo’s On The Bay in Howard Beach, New York.

Famed boxing color analyst and writer Steve Farhood accepted RING 8’s special award to legendary blow-by-blow announcer Nick Charles, who has been the voice of boxing on Showtime and Versus, for his inspiration to everybody involved in boxing, as well as for his outstanding contributions to the sport.

In addition to Joe Frazier, other attending former world champion quests include Emile Griffith, Vito Antuofermo, “Neon” Leon Spinks, Iran “The Blade” Barkley, and Junior “Poison” Jones.
