David Adeleye threatened to break Jeamie TKV’s “skull” as tensions ramped up ahead of their British heavyweight title fight on Saturday.

Adeleye and TKV contest the vacant Lonsdale belt at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, on the undercard of Joe Joyce’s must-win clash against Filip Hrgovic.

The pair are familiar with each other, having sparred each other in the past and Adeleye vowed to add to his 92% knockout streak in emphatic fashion, as the Londoners traded words on talkSPORT on Monday.

“I’m going to break this guy’s skull, I’m telling you,” the 28-year-old said.

“I’m going to really hurt him.

“Trust me.”

TKV fired back: “You ain’t breaking nothing my bro.”

The 31-year-old is on a run of three straight victories, claiming the IBO International heavyweight title with an eighth round retirement of Michael Webster in February.

The Tottenham man has one reverse, suffering a sixth round stoppage against Igor Adiel Macedo in September 2023.

“It pushes me onto the next stage,” TKV added.

“Just carry on pushing.

“At the moment yeah [it’s the biggest fight of my career].”

Adeleye challenges for the British belt for the second time in his career, falling short against Fabio Wardley in October 2023.

The Ladbroke Grove man bounced back with a ferocious first round stoppage over Sol Dacres in December to claim the vacant English crown and believes he can put on a similar display against TKV.

“I’m stopping him,” he added.

“It’s something I specialise in, stopping people.

“There’s people he hasn’t stopped at a lower level than me.

“There’s no way that he thinks he’s going to jump up to this level and do something so crazy.

“I stop people. It’s what I’m going to do.

“Every single person I’ve been in the ring with I’ve hurt, even when I lost.

“I’m going to hurt Jeamie.”
