Undefeated self-proclaimed superstar in the making, Adrien “The Problem” Broner, was arrested in Miami and charged with battery, spending some time in jail on Monday.
A report on BoxingScene.com confirmed from the Miami-Dade police department on the arrest, but it was actually Broner himself who started the flurry of the buzz on his arrest.

Broner actually Tweeted out his own mugshot picture via Instagram. He added in the choice message:
“They tried to keep a nigga locked down in MIA.”
Apparently, somebody from his promotional or management team then promptly slapped him upside the head and had him delete the Tweet and delete the photo, which of course is now available all over the internet anyway. Damage done there.
Broner was released on a $1,500 bond.
There haven’t been any statements from Broner or his team about the incident and the arrest, so we don’t have any specifics about what happened, and why he ended up arrested and charged. What we do know is that this isn’t exactly a promising career move for himself. The last thing that HBO – and now maybe Showtime, actually – need is for their next-generation face of boxing to continue down this path.
We’ll keep you posted if we hear anything else about the Adrien Broner arrested story.
