There are plenty of people with opinions regarding who Daniel Dubois should fight next, but none carry more weight than that of the man behind the recent Saudi Arabian surge into boxing, Turki Alalshikh.

Alalshikh was one of the 98,000 in attendance at Wembley Stadium to witness Dubois successfully defend his IBF world heavyweight title by brutally stopping Anthony Joshua in five rounds.

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn claimed there was a rematch clause in place for his man, however it has since emerged that this would still require ‘Dynamite’ and his team to agree.

The 26-year-old from London has been doing the media rounds this week, and claims he would be all too happy to lock horns with his domestic rival once again and that he would do a “better job” in a potential second fight.

And speaking to talkSPORT, Hearn claimed that Alalshikh also wants to see an immediate rematch between Joshua and Dubois.

“We have a fight with Riyadh Season. One of our options is to fight Daniel Dubois again, and our contract is with them.

“His Excellency [Turki Alalshikh] will deal with Frank and Daniel and make that fight happen. The terms will have to be agreed with them.

“We have already agreed our terms, we have the option to rematch with Dubois.

“Our meetings with His Excellency, he wants the rematch. AJ will always want the rematch.

“Daniel wants the rematch too.

“It’s the biggest fight for him and they will fancy it.

“It is a case of going away and talking about, do we go straight into the rematch? And when will it be?”

Despite being in the biggest fight of his life and a sizeable betting underdog, Dubois produced the best performance of his career to dismantle Joshua.

So impressive was the mild-mannered Londoner, there have been even been calls for him to jump straight in with the winner of the December 21 rematch between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
