Octapixx is pleased to announce that it has been selected to exclusively market the international broadcast rights for the upcoming WBC heavyweight championship match between Bermane Stiverne (23-1, 20 KO) and Chris Arreola (36-1, 30 KO), taking place on May 10, 2014.
Promoted by Don King Productions and Goossen Tutor Promotions, the event will be broadcast live on ESPN in the Americas, Australia and New Zealand, and Octapixx LIVE is presently marketing the event to broadcasters throughout the rest of the world.
After an action-packed first bout in April 2013 when Stiverne emerged victorious by decision after Arreola fought valiantly with a nose that was broken in the third round, Stiverne-Arreola II promises to be an all-action affair between two thunderous punchers with 80%+ knockout rates, each hungry for the most prestigious belt in all of sports. With Vitali Klitschko retiring and vacating the belt, and the World Boxing Council mandating this fight, the victor will not only become the WBC heavyweight champion, but will usher in a new era of heavyweight titlists.
“Octapixx LIVE is honored to have been selected to exclusively market the WBC heavyweight championship, a battle for a belt that has been worn by the greatest fighters ever,” says Lowell Conn, Vice President at Octapixx LIVE. “May 10 marks the beginning of a new era in heavyweight boxing as new players enter the fray to be considered the best in the world. Octapixx looks forward to licensing this event to broadcasters worldwide, and we are confident that they will be eager to showcase Stiverne-Arreola 2 as these warriors make their case for greatness.”
