Bob Arum believes Anthony Joshua is at the end of the road following his defeat to Daniel Dubois.

Joshua was dropped four times on route to a fifth round knockout loss to Dubois at Wembley Stadium, with his bid to become a three-time heavyweight world champion going up in smoke.

The 34-year-old vowed to fight on, despite some calls for him to retire and his promoter Eddie Hearn said he could target a rematch with the IBF titlist.

Hall of Fame promoter, Arum believes ‘AJ’ is at the end of his career, barring a potential showdown with Deontay Wilder, who is coming off the back of successive losses to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang.

As for ‘Dynamite’, the Top Rank CEO says he should look to target the winner of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury on December 21.

“There’s no rematch,” the 92-year-old told Fight Hub TV.

“That’s Eddie Hearn’s bulls***.

“There was no rematch clause. Dubois signed a two-fight deal with the Saudis and I think really the best fight for Dubois is to fight the winner of Fury and Usyk and that’s what he’ll do.

“There’s no rematch clause.

“I mean possibly they could do a rematch, but there’s no contractual obligation on Dubois to do a rematch.

“You don’t have an off night getting the s*** kicked out of you that way.

“I just think AJ has been through a lot of wars.

“I think it’s over for him as well as over for Wilder.

“Maybe they could fight each other, that would be a good fight.”

Arum’s Top Rank Inc. co-promote former WBC heavyweight world champion, Fury who was watching on from ringside at Wembley.

‘The Gypsy King’ will attempt to gain revenge over Usyk on December 21, after suffering a split decision loss to the Ukrainian in May for the undisputed heavyweight crown.

Despite insisting a Fury-Joshua clash has lost some of its once, fever pitch buzz, Arum says it could be a possibility if the Manchester man falls short again.

“I think [Fury vs Joshua has] completely [lost it’s lustre],” he added.

“Now if Usyk knocks out Usyk, then maybe you could see a Fury-AJ fight.

“The two losers.”
