DiBella Entertainment and Warriors Boxing are proud to announce the signing of undefeated super middleweight Badou Jack “The Ripper” (5-0, 4 KOs).
Despite starting boxing in his late teens, the 27 year old Swedish/Gambian is a former Olympian and six-time Swedish National Champion who went 122-28 as an amateur. Although fairly tall for a super middleweight, Jack enjoys fighting on the inside and working the body. He has a very strong uppercut.
“We’re at the right place at the right time to sign a prospect like Badou Jack,” said Lou DiBella. “He’s a very promising boxer/puncher from an area not known for boxing. He’s a natural.”
Jack, who has moved his base of operations to Las Vegas, will have his first fight under the new promotional banner on the undercard of the Super Six World Boxing Classic Semifinal clash between WBC super middleweight champion Carl “Cobra” Froch and Glen “The Road Warrior” Johnson at the Adrian Phillips Ballroom at historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on Saturday, June 4, and televised live on SHOWTIME at 9 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast).
“We’re looking for big things out of Badou,” added Leon Margules of Warriors Boxing. “He’s very strong and can box and punch. He brings a lot to the table and we’re very excited to be working with him.”
