Conor Benn says he would entertain a catchweight fight with Gervonta Davis.
Benn offered Davis a showdown earlier this year after exchanging words back-and-forth on X, but according to Benn’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, the 30-year-old turned down an offer in the region of $25m.
’The Destroyer’ is negotiating a February clash with WBC welterweight world champion, Mario Barrios, after talks to reschedule a bout with Chris Eubank Jr appeared to have fallen through.
“He’s just a mouthy little t***,” Benn told Fight Hub TV.
“That’s it.
“He just wanted to pipe up and start talking.
“Pipe up and start talking then, you’re still four foot tall and still can’t get on a rollercoaster.
“I said, ‘listen, you keep talking s***. My promoter’s going to get back to you in 48 hours.’

“Initial offer sent over. [Davis’ advisor] Uncle Al [Haymon] didn’t let him out to play. His boss didn’t let him out.
“£15 million first offer, but he’s an idiot I don’t even think he knows what negotiating means.”
The 28-year-old saw an October 2022 meeting with Eubank Jr shelved on fight week after testing positive for the banned substance Clomiphene.
The National Anti-Doping Panel lifted his provisional suspension last month and both the British Boxing Board of Control and UK Anti-Doping decided not to appeal the verdict, pathing the way for Benn to return to the UK to fight after two bouts in the interim in the USA.
Davis, who has fought as high as 140lbs when he stopped Barrios to win the WBA super lightweight crown in 2021, defends his WBA lightweight title against Lamont Roach on March 1 in Brooklyn and claimed last week that he will retire from the sport in 2025.

Benn insists he would be happy to face the Baltimore man at a catchweight of 143lbs.
“I would even do a catchweight at 143,” he added.
“I would make 143 for him.
“He won’t take the fight.
“His career has been very well manoeuvred.
“Fight Shakur [Stevenson], I bet he’ll retire before he fights Shakur.”
