Bozy Ennis has warned Conor Benn that his son Jaron Ennis would end his unbeaten run by stoppage.

Benn called out now-IBF world welterweight champion, Ennis prior to agreeing a now infamous showdown with Chris Eubank Jr, which was shelved on fight week after Benn tested positive for the banned substance Clomiphene, although he has since been cleared of wrongdoing by the UK Anti-Doping.

Ennis Sr, who trains his son in Philadelphia, says ‘The Destroyer’ has nothing to offer them and insists the Brit would have to travel stateside if the fight ever took place.

“If we fight Conor Benn. He got to come here [USA],” Ennis told Mill City Boxing.

“He got caught taking them [PEDs] still. Nah, in your country [UK], too? Nah, nah.

“If you want to fight, you can come here.

“Plus, you don’t even have nothing that we want.

“We’re going to try and clean all the ones that have the belts out, and then we’re going to move up.

“What does he have? He doesn’t have nothing.”

‘Boots’ was elevated to full IBF champion in November after the IBF stripped Terence Crawford of the title.

The undefeated 26-year-old has held discussions with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing – who also promote Benn – over a potential promotional deal, leading to suggestions that a showdown could be in the works.

Benn returns to action against Peter Dobson on February 3 in Las Vegas, after outpointing Rodolfo Orozco in September, a performance Bozy was not impressed with.

“Conor said that everybody is scared of Boots, but he’s not. I don’t go for that scary stuff,” Ennis added.

“Nobody is scared of nobody. A lot of times, it’s business. Nothing personal. It’s business.

“A lot of these guys don’t want to take the chance because they’re trying to get this big-money fight, and some of them are trying to get out of the game.

“Boots would stop Conor Benn. He’d come out wild, and then he’s going to slow down because I’ve watched his fights.

“I watched his last fight [against Orozco]. He’s going to end up slowing down, and then when you slow down, what’s going to happen?

“You’re going to get stopped. That’s what’s going to happen. He’s [Benn] going to come out swinging that wild stuff.

“Did you see his last fight? You saw what happened. He got tired.”
