On Thursday, WBC #2 World Contender Bermane Stiverne (22-1-1, 20 KOs) showcased his boxing skills for media. In only two days from now, on April 27, Stiverne will go toe-to-toe with Chris “The Nightmare” Arreola (35-2, 30 KOs) in a 12-round WBC World Championship Heavyweight Elimination bout with the winner guaranteed to fight for the World Championship in his next bout.

The Arreola vs. Stiverne fight has been postponed on several occasions, so it’s finally time to see these two guys square off in the ring. With Vitali Klitschko on the brink of retirement, a win could position the winner to hold a vacant title, so there’s a lot on the line with this fight. Most fans don’t know a ton about Stiverne, so it will be interesting to see how he responds to this stage.
Doors open at Citizens Business Bank Arena at 2:30 p.m for this special HBO “Boxing Before Dark” event. The first bout starts at 3:00 p.m. with the scheduled 12-round bout between Arreola-Stiverne to begin at 5:30 p.m.
