Bernard Hopkins vs. Tavoris Cloud officially set for March 9th

It’s official, Bernard Hopkins is set to face Tavoris Cloud on March 9th at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York. The Hopkins vs. Cloud fight will be for the IFB Light Heavyweight Title. The duo will be holding an opening press conference next week, also celebrating the 48th birthday of Mr. B-Hop. That’s right, nearing five decades on the planet, Hopkins is ready for the next challenge of his career – apparently he didn’t set his mark as the oldest fighter in boxing history to win a world championship high enough.

On Bernard Hopkins’ 48th Birthday, he and the team will hold a presser to officially announce his title bout against IBF Light Heavyweight World Champion Tavoris Cloud.  Hopkins will attempt to break his own record as the oldest fighter in history to win a world championship when he faces the undefeated Cloud on March 9 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn live on HBO World Championship Boxing.

Hopkins vs. Cloud, a 12-round bout for Cloud’s IBF Light Heavyweight World Championship will take place Saturday, March 9 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.  The event is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Don King Productions, sponsored by Corona and AT&T.  The HBO World Championship Boxing telecast begins at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT.
