As a new addition to the Boxing 101 section of ProBoxing-Fans.com, we’re happy to finally have launched our boxing history section! We’ve already added a few in-depth and comprehensive pieces on the history of boxing, which should whet the appetite even more for all of the hardcore boxing fans and boxing heads out there.
Right now, the team here at Pro Boxing Fans is hard at work compiling a decade by decade history of boxing that covers the entire 20th century. From the first champions just a few years removed from the bareknuckle days, through the golden years of the 20s and 30s, to the heavyweight 70s, and the recent stars from the 90s, we’ll have it all there for you to peruse at your leisure.

That means you’ll find a collection of all of our top 5 and 10 lists about fighters from different eras, you’ll find our fantasy fights pitting the best of the best from different times against one another, and much more.
In the future, you can also look forward to many more detailed articles, columns, lists and comparisons regarding the history of the sweet science. So if you have a few minutes and want to learn more about the great fighters and fights of the past, and the way that boxing fit in with society and culture as a whole, head over the history section and have some fun.
