Pictures from Helenius vs. Chisora & Povetkin vs. Boswell
On December 3rd, 2011 from Helsinki, Finland, the Night of the Heavyweights card took place, headlined by Robert Helenius vs. Dereck Chisora and co-featured by Alexander Povetkin vs. Cedric Boswell. Povetkin cruised to his victory, as was to be expected, while Helenius escaped with a lucky decision verdict over Chisora, who did enough to win the fight in the minds of nearly all other observers. Take a look at this great collection of Helenius vs. Chisora pictures and Povetkin vs. Boswell pictures from the fights, the training camps, the press conferences, weigh-ins and more.
As you can see above, we have a few dozen Helenius vs. Chisora pictures and Povetkin vs. Boswell pictures from their encounters and the card they shared in Helsinki. For Helenius, the Nordic Nightmare had been rising quick into title contention to battle the Klitschkos, but this was a step back, as an in-shape Chisora took the fight for him and kept him out of his element, clearly landing the more effective shots and dictating the action.
For Povetkin, he looked good in a win, but it was against a 40+ year old fringe contender who never fought at the top level of the division. So neither guy exactly was impressive, and the most impressive guy on the card lost, Del Boy Chisora.
Nonetheless, you can relive all the build-up, hype and action right here with our photo galleries from all of the pre-fight events and more.
