HBO had a doubleheader from the Prudential Center in November featuring the return of Zab Judah back to the junior welterweight division and ready to face the best competition. The card also featured a lightweight contest between Robert Guerrero and Vicente Escobedo. Zab Judah started out dominating Matthysse but then had to hang on late to win a decision, when the power of Matthysse was catching up to him. It was an up and down performance, but Zab showed heart and grit and won the decision on the strength of the early rounds he won.

Meanwhile, lightweight contender Robert Guerrero looked strong in beating his amateur rival Escobedo, moving himself one step closer to a showdown with Juan Manuel Marquez. Also on the undercard was strong prospect and former Olympian Sadam Ali.
