The final press conference for the Timothy Bradley vs. Juan Manuel Marquez fight was held today in Las Vegas. Bradley-Marquez headlines this weekend’s HBO pay-per-view, and is billed as the fight between the two guys who just beat Manny Pacquiao, for whatever that’s worth in the case of Bradley.

Marquez showed up in his typical pre-fight attire, a workout jump suit. He’s all business and focused on his preparations. Bradley showed up in a real suit and certainly looks more trim and ready than he did in the opening press conferences several months ago. Both men certainly seem to be in excellent condition, which is no surprise.
There’s been some trash-talking leading up to the fight, with each man taking jabs at the other, and Bradley tossing about accusations of alleged PED usage from Marquez. So while they may respect one another inside the ring, right now, it’s tense.
In the co-featured fight of the PPV, a vacant featherweight title is up for grabs as Orlando Salido takes on Orlando Cruz. Undefeated prospect Seanie Monaghan is also featured, along with the professional debut of Ukrainian Olympic great Vasyl Lomachenko, who’s stepping right up to the plate against a very experienced pro, a refreshing move we’d surely wish to see more amateur boxers make.
