Marcel Braithwaite steps into the ring as he targets his journey into the upper echelon of the super flyweight division.

Braithwaite (11-3), who suffered points defeats to Sunny Edwards and Jay Harris, fights for 15th time in his professional career, on the Black Flash Promotions show in Liverpool, as he faces Scott Allan for the vacant WBC International Silver title.

The 27-year-old believes a victory over former Commonwealth title challenger, Allan (10-5-1) can move him towards bigger titles and possibly a world title opportunity in the coming months.

“I proved that I will fight anyone,” Braithwaite told proboxing-fans.com.

“I took the Sunny Edwards [fight] on six weeks [notice]. I took the Jay Harris fight on less than that I think as well.

“I don’t really need to do that anymore.

“I’ll get this win on Saturday and I’ll do it in style and then it puts me in a much better position where it’s going to open the door for a whole lot more titles.

“I’m just going to enjoy it, enjoy Saturday night, enjoy my victory and then I’m going to enjoy what’s to come after that.

“I’m so focused on this performance on Saturday and doing what I need to do, because I know it can change my life just like that and the division I’m in, I can go from a win on Saturday [and] could fight for a world title in a matter of months.

“I’m more than motivated, that’s enough motivation right there.”

‘The Chosen One’ has bounced back from the losses with back-to-back victories over Taka Bembere and Brett Fidoe, heading into Saturday’s clash with Allan.

Braithwaite insists he has learnt from those reverses and is a better fighter for the experiences.

“It’ll take me from the small hall shows to bigger cards.

“Yeah I’ve fought on them before and dipped my toes in the water, got a taste of it and I’m wiser now for it.

“I’ve got that experience, this is where it shows.

“This is where I show levels on Saturday and show where I’m really at.”
