On Wednesday, December 19, DiBella Entertainment will present a special holiday edition of its Broadway Boxing series headlined by Queens-native Will “Power” Rosinsky (16-2, 9KO’s) in an eight-round light heavyweight bout.
Also featured on the card will be red-hot lightweight prospect Ivan Redkach (12-0, 11KO’s) and Brooklyn’s Gabriel “Tito” Bracero (20-1, 3KO’s). A portion of the proceeds from the show will be donated to victims of Hurricane Sandy. More information to follow.
“We are going to close our 2012 Broadway Boxing season with one of our strongest cards of the year,” said Lou DiBella. “In addition to the great card, we will also be raising money for Hurricane Sandy relief and there will be a silent auction including memorabilia from my own personal collection. Please join us not only for our traditional holiday season beatings card, but more importantly to raise money and awareness for those suffering so badly as a result of Hurricane Sandy.”
In addition to his professional boxing career, the former four-time New York Golden Gloves Champion and 2005 US Amateur Champion Rosinsky also works as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at FDNY’s Station 39 in East New York, Brooklyn. Rosinsky’s two defeats as a pro have come in highly competitive decision losses to red-hot, undefeated contender Edwin Rodriguez on SHOWTIME in October 2011 and, most recently, to former middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik on HBO in July of this year.
Since turning pro in late 2009, the Ukrainian-native Redkach, who now lives and trains in Los Angeles, CA, has been considered one of the most exciting and dangerous young prospects in all of boxing. Redkach has reeled off three consecutive first-round stoppages in 2012, with 10 of his 11 knockouts coming in four rounds or less. The lone fighter Redkach hasn’t stopped was disqualified for excessive holding. Look for Redkach to have a breakout year in 2013.
After suffering his first professional defeat to former world champion DeMarcus Corley in January, Bracero has since reeled off two straight dominant eight-round unanimous decision victories. The popular Puerto Rican Bracero is inching toward landing a significant bout in the junior welterweight division sometime in 2013, but he must first take care of business on December 19.
Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased through Ticketmaster by calling (800) 745-3000, or by calling the DiBella Entertainment office at (212) 947-2577. Tickets are priced at $125, $85, $65 and $45. Doors open at 6 p.m. ET with the first bout scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
