Brooklyn Brawl on Sept 18th with Junior Wright, Steven Martinez & Amanda Serrano

Back by popular demand comes another edition of “Brooklyn Brawl.” Star of David Promotions CEO Dmitriy Salita is excited to announce that another evening of professional boxing will run on Sept. 18, at the Master Theater in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn.

Cruiserweight Junior Wright (10-0-1, 9 KO’s), who wowed the crowd with his skills, stamina and toughness in the last Brooklyn Brawl, back in May, will be in action on September. 18 in a six round bout. “Junior Wright is recognized as one of the best cruiserweights in the world. He loves fighting in New York City, we are very happy to bring one of the best prospects back to Brooklyn,” Salita said.

Also, junior middleweight contender Steven Martinez (15-1, 12 KO’s), gaining more of a reputation as a power punching fan favorite in every outing, will also see action in Brighton Beach. Salita co-promotes Martinez along with future Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr. It speaks loudly that Jones, having been regarded himself as one of the most talented hitters every to enter the ring, calls Martinez, “one of the best talents in the junior middleweight division.” Added Salita: “Steve Martinez has been looking very impressive. He wants to make a statement again.” He will compete in a six round bout.

Top ten pound for pounder in the women’s ranks Amanda Serrano (20-1-1, 15 KO’s), a two-time world champion, will have her hands full with Jackie Trivilino, who showed New York fight fans she’s the real deal on June 14, when she fought rising star Heather Hardy tooth and nail at Barclays Center. This will be an 8-round bout.

Dimash Niyazov (6-0-2, 4 KO’s), a Kazakhstan-born boxer who possesses a blend of speed, power and mobility, looks to show boxing fans that Gennady Golovkin isn’t the only pugilistic talent produced by that nation. The junior welterweight living on Staten Island meets Jamell Tyson in a 6-round bout on Sept. 18.”Dimash Niyazov has been very inspired by success of his countryman Gennady Golovkin,” Salita said. “Dimash is very popular in this area, and is motivated to climb up the ranks.”

Also, 4-1 middleweight Akil “That Dude” Auguste (4-1, 4 Ko’s) of Brooklyn seeks to extend his KO streak to five fights, this time taking on Godson Noel (3-0, 2 KO’s).

Heavyweight contender Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller (9-0-1, 9 KO’s) returns to action in a six rounder. Popular power puncher Peter Reyes (4-0, 2 KO’s) is set to compete in a four rounder, against Maurice Amaro of Philadelphia. Gary Beriguette (5-0, 3KO’s) of Brooklyn will compete in 4-round Jr. Middleweight bout.

Salita finished with a note about the burgeoning excitement Star of David cards have been building in Brooklyn. “Master Theater, formerly the Millennium Theater, is a great venue and that helps create local buzz,” he said. “We have been getting a better and better turn out with each show!”
