Luke Campbell believes Ryan Garcia would have no problem in beating Devin Haney and insists he is also capable of beating Gervonta Davis.

Campbell was stopped in seven rounds by Garcia in their WBC Interim Lightweight title clash in Dallas on Saturday night.

Garcia, who climbed off the canvas after a heavy second round knockdown became mandatory challenger to WBC champion, Haney with victory with the WBC set to order the fight in due course.

The 22-year-old has been calling for a fight with WBA ‘Regular’ titlist Gervonta Davis, insisting he would knock out his unbeaten rival in two rounds and Campbell, 33, says he expects Garcia to overcome Haney, whilst he has the ability to beat ‘Tank’ in what he believes is a tough fight for anyone.

“I think he beats Haney,” Campbell told iFLTV.

“Gervonta, you’re always going to have a hard fight with Gervonta, but I definitely believe he’s got the tools to beat them.

“I think he beats Haney. The problem with him fighting Haney is that Haney doesn’t really sell the place out with his style and stuff like that.

“I believe he beats Haney no problem. Gervonta is a hard fight, he’s going to be a hard fight for anyone, but like I say I do believe he’s got the tools and the ability to win, definitely.”

Campbell was halted with a vicious left hook to the body from which he failed to beat referee Laurence Cole’s count.

The former two-time world title challenger admits he was struggling to breath for a minute after the count, due to the severity of the shot.

“I was stood and as I moved I thought he was throwing it to the head, but he just whipped it and lifted up my ribcage and I stepped back and I couldn’t get my breath, I could not get my breath,” Campbell added.

“I couldn’t grab my breath even after the count for at least 60 seconds after the count, I was still sort of struggling with my breath, that’s never happened to me before and that’s one of the things that hurts me the most.”

Campbell revealed he has not considered retirement and here are some of the potential options for his ring return.
