Canelo will be meeting former Contender star Alfonso Gomez, currently ranked #6 by the WBC at 154 lbs. The Alvarez vs. Gomez fight will be held on September 17th, and will be a part of the undercard for the Floyd Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz Star Power HBO PPV. The fight will be officially announced this week in front of an open to the public audience, as fight fans get geared up for this intriguing clash.
