Derek Chisora had his last stand in Manchester, and he dropped Otto Wallin twice on the way to a clear points win at Co-op Live on Saturday.
Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs) has enjoyed a career full of ups and downs, but he was coming off a points win against Joe Joyce in July 2024. Wallin (27-3, 15 KOs) had only previously lost to Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
Chisora applied his usual pressure, charging at Wallin from the opening bell, while the Swede worked well on the counter in the opening round.
The 34-year-old visitor used his boxing skills well in round two, but the home favourite had the better of the third and fourth rounds with his relentless pace, despite suffering a nasty cut underneath his right eye.
The 41-year-old was getting the better of the argument, and after halfway, he landed with a flurry of punches that momentarily shook Wallin and his barely believable energy came to the fore again a round later, with the fight looking like it may be stopped.

A right hook in the ninth saw Wallin on the deck, but he survived and then rallied in the tenth with a decent burst against the tiring Chisora, with that progress continuing into the penultimate frame.
It was to no avail though, as the Londoner scored another knockdown in the final session that rubber-stamped his win, which was confirmed by scores of 117-109, 116-110 and 114-112.
Despite the fight billed as ‘The Last Dance’, Chisora is set for a farewell fight and said post-fight he’d like it to be staged at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Heaney suffers shock defeat
In a major upset, Nathan Heaney was halted in seven rounds by the unheralded Sofiane Khati (18-5, 7 KOs) in their middleweight contest.
Heaney (18-2-1, 6 KOs), who was coming off the loss of his British title to Brad Pauls, was dropped in the same round prior to the contest being waved off.

Parker sees off Diallo
Zach Parker made a light heavyweight debut, and took a points win against Mickael Diallo (21-2-2, 18 KOs).
Parker (26-1, 18 KOs) was due to face Willy Hutchinson, but the Scot pulled out with a dislocated shoulder, and the Derby man ran out the winner in this one by scores of 98-92, 98-93 and 97-94.
Rafferty defends British strap
Jack Rafferty (25-0, 16 KOs) defended his British and Commonwealth super lightweight titles, and added the vacant WBC International strap by forcing the corner of Reece MacMillan (17-2, 2 KOs) to throw the towel in during the seventh round.

Remaining Undercard
Masood Abdulah (11-1, 7 KOs) suffered a shock first career defeat, as he lost his Commonwealth featherweight title on the cards to Zak Miller, who also took home the vacant British belt.
Miller (16-1, 3 KOs) was a majority decision victor in a gruelling fight, as scores of 115-114 and 115-113 were enough for his hand to be raised against a third score of 114-114.
