“The Pride of Huntington” Chris Algieri will return to The Paramount on Saturday, March 31st to battle Rochester, New York’s Winston Mathis in the main event at ROCKIN BOUTS 3, presented by Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing.

The junior welterweight clash featuring Algieri marks the third straight time the undefeated pre-med student has headlined the classic theater in his hometown of Huntington.
Sporting an unblemished record of 13-0-0 with six stoppages, Algieri is coming off a dominant performance on January 28th, taking a unanimous decision over Atlanta’s Curtis Smith.
Prior to that, Algieri made his debut at The Paramount, a ten round nationally televised win over Bayan Jargal on November 19th.
Known as ‘The Rochester Reaper”, Mathis, 7-4-1 (2KO’s), has faced numerous undefeated, highly regarded prospects including Jose Benavidez, Gabriel Bracero and Jake Giuriceo.
New York fight fans will remember Mathis’ terrific six round war with the then-undefeated Bracero on March 31, 2010.
