Less than four months after their original meeting, Robson Conceicao and O’Shaquie Foster do it again this Saturday, with Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona playing host to Conceicao defending his WBC super featherweight title for the first time.

Top Rank promote Conceicao vs Foster 2, with the action live in the UK on Sky Sports, and on ESPN in the USA.

The first fight saw Conceicao (19-2-1, 9 KOs) somehow take a split decision win, despite being out-landed during the contest, which wasn’t pretty viewing.

That victory saw the Brazilian take a world title at the fourth attempt, having lost for the WBC title in 2021 against Oscar Valdez, and to Shakur Stevenson for the WBC and WBO straps in 2022, both on the cards.

He was then decked twice by Emanuel Navarrete last November in a bid for the WBO crown, but rallied to earn a draw, before defeating Foster nearly eight months later.

Foster (22-3, 12 KOs) came to the fore last February, taking the vacant WBC title by handily outpointing Rey Vargas, and he then defended in a come-from-behind last round stoppage of Eduardo Hernandez in Mexico. February saw a split decision win against Abraham Nova at Madison Square Garden, before he controversially shipped his belt to Conceicao in July.

Prediction: Foster will have extra motivation here, having felt wronged by his defeat to Conceicao. I think he can leave little doubt this time, and take a clear points win to gain revenge.

Three ten rounders head the undercard.

Raymond Muratalla (21-0, 16 KOs) is a lightweight prospect to watch, and he is coming off a career-best win against former world champion Tevin Farmer, taking a decision win over ten in July, and the Californian can bank another points victory here, against Jesus Antonio Perez Campos (25-5, 18 KOs), who defeated Jo-Jo Diaz in his last contest.

At featherweight, Yan Santana (12-0, 11 KOs) went ten rounds for the first time against Brandon Valdes last time out, and he may need the distance again to take the win in his meeting with Eduardo Baez (23-6-2, 9 KOs). Baez ran Angelo Leo close in his last outing, and has only been halted by Emanuel Navarrete in 2022.

The aforementioned Abraham Nova (23-3, 16 KOs) sees action, but he is coming off two losses in 2024, to Foster, and then to Andres Cortes, both in close circumstances. He should have enough about him to get back to winning ways, with a points win against Humberto Galindo (14-3-2, 11 KOs) in their super featherweight clash.

In eight round action, Jahi Tucker (12-1-1, 5 KOs) can win early in his middleweight contest against Quilisto Madera (14-5, 9 KOs), and unbeaten heavyweight Damian Knyba (13-0, 7 KOs) can do the same against Richard Lartey (16-6, 13 KOs), known on British shores for defeats to Daniel Dubois, Nathan Gorman and Fabio Wardley. At super lightweight, Bryce Mills (16-1, 5 KOs) can bank a points win against Mike Ohan Jr (19-3, 9 KOs).

The sole six rounder is at heavyweight, where Ali Feliz (3-0, 2 KOs) may need the distance to take the win against Orlando Rashad Coulter (5-4, 3 KOs).
