The four city, three country press tour for the Miguel Cotto vs. Canelo Alvarez fight kicks off on Monday in Los Angeles. Fans are invited to attend the Cotto vs. Canelo kickoff press conference at the Hollywood & Highland Center in LA, set to begin at 5pm.
After LA, Cotto, Canelo, and their teams will then embark on three more stops on consecutive days, visiting Mexico City, New York and Caguas, Puerto Rico, ending the tour this Thursday. Fans will be invited to attend each event.
Also attending the press conferences will be Oscar De La Hoya, Mauricio Sulaiman, and other members of the fighters’ teams.
Cotto vs. Canelo is NOT a middleweight world championship fight, as we stripped Cotto because he defends his belt at catchweights beneath the division’s actual limit. Nevertheless, it’s a highly intriguing bout, and an important one for both fighters. It also figures to provide plenty of entertainment.
