Cotto vs. Martinez Weights
- Miguel Cotto: 155 lbs
- Sergio Martinez: 158.8 lbs
Both Miguel Cotto and Sergio Martinez looked to be in excellent condition. The crowd was a huge pro-Cotto crowd, with Martinez getting booed heartily.
Cotto didn’t bother worrying about gaining any weight, he came in cut and shredded at basically junior middleweight. Meanwhile, Sergio was able to make the catchweight of 159 lbs without any issues.
The two engaged in an intense, long staredown, with neither man flinching, blinking, looking away or doing anything but staring intently at the other man and trying to break him. It made for a great scene and the crowd went crazy. Cotto vowed victory, and Maravilla vowed a knockout as well.
