On Friday October 21st, Lou DiBella’s DiBella Entertainment will present “Octoberfist: Fight Night Done Right”, an exciting doubleheader on ShoBox: The New Generation, from the beautiful MGM Grand at Foxwoods. With October being National Breast Cancer Awareness month, DiBella has teamed up with the Breast Cancer Charities of America (BCCA), the iGoPink campaign, P3R Publicity and Everlast to help raise awareness with the exciting 10-bout card.
The event will be co-headlined by a sizzling super middleweight showdown between Edwin “La Bomba” Rodriguez (19-0, 14KO’s) and Will “Power” Rosinsky (14-0, 8KO’s), and rising junior welterweight contender Gabriel “Tito” Bracero (17-0, 3KO’s) taking on Daniel Sostre (11-4-1, 4KO’s) for the vacant NABF title. Both bouts are scheduled for 10 rounds and will be televised live on SHOWTIME beginning at 11PM ET/PT.
“This is our way to raise breast cancer awareness not just to the thousands of fans that will turn out on fight night, but to the hundreds of thousands at home watching on SHOWTIME’s nationally televised ShoBox event,” said DiBella. “Through their iGoPink campaign, BCCA brings a fresh and innovative approach to finding a cure; hopefully our event on October 21st will assist with them. My sister Maria is a breast cancer survivor and this cause is close to my heart.”
In addition to special announcements being made throughout the evening to raise awareness, Everlast will be making a special pink canvas for the card, and all of the boxers fighting that evening will wear custom made pink Everlast gloves.
“The Breast Cancer Charities of America is thrilled that DiBella Entertainment has chosen to support us and put a spotlight on our organization in such an innovative and original manner. We are truly thankful for the opportunity to create awareness for our cause,” said Erica Harvey, Founder and Executive Director of BCCA.
“P3R Publicity is proud to be representing BCCA. It is an honor to assist in raising awareness for such an important cause. We are truly touched that DiBella Entertainment has given us such a unique platform to draw attention to BCCA and the iGoPink Campaign,” stated Lia Shahrebani, Director of Non-Profits and Hospitality, P3R Publicity.
“Octoberfist: Fight Night Done Right” is being presented by DiBella Entertainment in association with The Breast Cancer Charities of America, P3R Publicity and Everlast.
