Following Nonito Donaire’s big knockout victory over Toshiaki Nishioka on Saturday night, it’s time for us here at ProBoxing-Fans.com to update and revise our rankings. So, we’ve taken a look at the top 10 in the super bantamweight division and have updated the group to reflect the latest fights, including the Donaire vs. Nishioka results. Take a look right here and chime in if you agree or disagree.
In the process though, we realized that we have been falling behind on some of our rankings, and needed to really get in there and update multiple weight divisions. So, here are all of our updated weight class rankings to bring us up to speed across the landscape of the sport:
- Updated Super Flyweight Division Rankings
- Updated Bantamweight Division Rankings
- Updated Super Bantamweight Division Rankings
- Updated Featherweight Division Rankings
- Updated Super Middleweight Division Rankings
- Updated Light Heavyweight Division Rankings
- Updated Cruiserweight Division Rankings
- Updated Heavyweight Division Rankings
Alright, that’s quite the rankings update load here! We’ve revised eight of the divisions to ensure that we aren’t slacking any longer with our rankings.
The main topic here of course was Nonito Donaire and his dominating effort over Toshiaki Nishioka, the division’s top guy, and a longstanding champion who just couldn’t hold up nor was he prepared for the type of offensive pressure and skill which the Filipino Flash brought to the table. That affects the super bantamweight division, but also the featherweight division, as Donaire will most likely be campaigning there in the future, perhaps as soon as his next fight.
So go ahead and dive in and take a look at all of our updated boxing weight class rankings, and as always, feel free to leave us a comment with your own thoughts.
