Daniel Dubois is hopeful of landing an undisputed heavyweight title rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.
However, Dubois may need to find an alternative opponent after the WBO ordered Usyk to defend his title against interim champion, Joseph Parker.
Should the Brit fail to secure a second meeting with the Ukrainian, who stopped him in nine rounds in Poland in August 2023, the 27-year-old could have to make a mandatory defence of his IBF belt against Derek Chisora.
The 41-year-old overcame Otto Wallin in an IBF eliminator in February and has confirmed plans to hang up his gloves after one final fight, which will be the 50th bout of his professional career.
And his promoter Frank Warren has earmarked him as a potential foe for ‘Dynamite’ should a Usyk fight fail to materialise.

“Chisora is [an IBF mandatory],” promoter Warren told Sky Sports.
“He won it in his last fight and everyone knew what the fight was going to be for.
“He is the mandatory to our man, ‘Dangerous Dan [Dubois]’, so that’s the position he’s in.
“He wants a big fight to go out on.

“Eddie [Hearn] and I have had a couple of chats today and in due course will let people know our views on what we’ll do.
“We both have been involved in his career, he started off with me, been with me a long time, was with me for the last few fights.
“We want to deliver that 50th fight.
“I want to work something between us that we both [Warren and Hearn] walk him out.”
Chisora has also been linked with a third showdown with Dillian Whyte, who was forced to pull out of a scheduled clash with Joe Joyce next weekend through injury.
Dubois was elevated to full IBF champion, after Usyk vacated the title to pursue a rematch with Tyson Fury, whom he beat for the second time in December.
The Londoner made a first defence of his crown with a fifth round stoppage over Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium in September.

Usyk admits he would favour a second outing with Dubois over a clash with Parker.
“WBO told us that I should defend this title [against Parker],” Usyk told Al Arabiya English.
“But now our aim and the goal of the team is to unite our belts [against] Daniel Dubois.
“We want to fight Dubois.”
