After Daniel Dubois’ stunning stoppage win over Anthony Joshua last month, the boxing world has been pondering over what his next move will be.

In the maiden defence of his IBF world heavyweight title, Dubois knocked Joshua out in five rounds in front of a sold-out crowd at Wembley Stadium.

‘AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn has stated that his charge wants to jump straight back in with ‘Dynamite’, with Riyadh Season’s Turki Alalshikh reportedly keen on a second showdown as well.

However, George Warren of Queensberry Promotions, who have worked with the Londoner from his debut, insists his man can “do whatever he wants.”

Warren also told Boxing News there will be more “sense of direction” surrounding the 27-year-old’s next move after he meets with Alalshikh after next weekend’s Beterbiev vs Bivol show in Riyadh.

“Daniel’s away with his family enjoying a great win, and we’re not in any rush to catch up with him until he’s back – then we can talk about what that next fight looks like.

“I’ve spoken to Eddie [Hearn] and His Excellency, and we’ll get a bit more sense of the direction we’re going in when I get to Riyadh next week.

“He’s the heavyweight champion of the world, he’s got a lot of options, he can do whatever he wants.

“He’s just knocked out a global superstar in front of 98,000 people at Wembley Stadium, so the world is his oyster.”

If a rematch with Joshua is not to be next, Dubois has been linked to fights with the likes of Joseph Parker, Zhilei Zhang and the winner of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.

Hearn has stated he feels his charge would also be sensible to wait for the outcome of the December 21 showdown between Fury and Usyk before deciding his next move.
