Daniel Dubois has today revealed his thoughts on the possibility of a second showdown with Anthony Joshua.

Dubois scored the biggest win of his career on Saturday night, when he demolished Joshua in five rounds at a packed out Wembley Stadium for the IBF heavyweight world championship.

‘AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn said in the aftermath of the stunning fight that he believes his charge will look to run it back with the 27-year-old, and that there are contractual stipulations in place that will allow him to do so.

It has since emerged that a rematch can only be triggered if ‘Dynamite’ also agrees to it – but it looks like he’d have no issues doing just that.

Speaking to Jim White on talkSPORT, Dubois remarkably claimed he believes he will do “even better” if another bout with Joshua is to be next.

“Yeah, if that happens down the line then yes.

“If that happens next then yeah. I want to go for it. I want to do even better next time.

“I know where I need to improve as well, so as a champion and a fighter. I want to prove people wrong every time and that’s what we have been doing…

“I think I would, I can do a lot better than that. It was a great showing but next time I believe I’ll be more clinical. More sharp, everything.”

So destructive was Dubois this past weekend that there was some speculation that Joshua, now 34, may hang up the gloves entirely.

However, the two-time world champion posted a video on social media yesterday reiterating his post fight comments that he would be carrying on his career.

As well as a second instalment of Saturday’s cracker, a meeting with the winner of the December 21 rematch between Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury has also been floated for ‘Triple D.’
