Chris Eubank Jr seemingly has no interest in repairing his frosty relationship with Eddie Hearn, ahead of his showdown with Conor Benn.

Eubank Jr was previously signed to Hearn’s Matchroom banner, but the pair are now in opposite corners as the Brighton man prepares to face Benn on April 26 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The 35-year-old launched a scathing attack on Hearn as well as previous promoters, Frank Warren and Kalle Sauerland during a press conference prior to his victory over Kamil Szeremeta last year.

Eubank Jr continued his animosity towards the Matchroom boss during two press conferences last month to promote his rescheduled clash with Benn.

‘Next Gen’ interrupted the Essex promoter when he was addressed by host Ade Oladipo in an attempt to stop him from talking during a two-city press tour.

Asked to explain his issue with Hearn, Eubank Jr told All Out Fighting: “Eddie is the enemy.

“Eddie is a greedy promoter who I have no time for.

“He has constantly disrespected me over the years, publicly in interviews.

“He’s tried blocking me in certain fights behind the scenes.

“He’s not an ally and therefore he has no right in my opinion to ever speak at any of my press conferences or whenever I’m around, period.”

Eubank Jr received a £100,000 fine by the British Boxing Board of Control last week after slapping Benn with an egg after their first press conference in Manchester.

The pair were supposed to have fought in October 2022, but their highly-anticipated clash was shelved on fight week after Benn twice tested positive for the banned substance Clomiphene.

The decision to use an egg was in direct reference to the WBC returning Benn to their rankings in February 2023, after deeming that a “highly-elevated consumption of eggs” was a “reasonable explanation” for his failed drug tests.

The 28-year-old was cleared by the National Anti-Doping Panel in November, lifting the temporary suspension imposed on him.

On Monday, Eubank Jr challenged Hearn to a £1million bet on the bout.

“Come on Eddie,” he said in a video posted on social media.

“A million quid eh?

“Okay. Let’s find out if you’re a man of your word or just a lying hype job.

“I formally accept your million pound bet and the million pounds will be our own personal money.

“Not company money or purse money.

“Just a straight up bet between me and you.

“The money will go into escrow and the winner takes all.

“Now I look forward to watching you try and weasel your way out of this bet like the rodent I know you are.”
