Chris Eubank Jr believes a future clash with Canelo Alvarez would sell out a UK stadium and insists he would go toe-to-toe with the Mexican star if they met.
Canelo has beaten seven Brits during his 59-fight career, including Amir Khan, Liam Smith, Callum Smith and most recently Billy Joe Saunders in May, who beat Eubank Jr by split decision in 2014.
However, the Brighton man says he has more desire to beat the current unified super middleweight champion than his previous foes and insists he would move back up to 168lbs to challenge the WBA, WBC and WBO holder, Alvarez, having previously held the IBO belt at the higher weight class.
“He’s the only one I would move up a weight again to fight and yeah, he is running out of guys to fight,” Eubank Jr told Sky Sports.
“Nobody wants to fight him and the guys that do want to fight him, [they] don’t actually want to fight him.
“They want to get in the ring and survive and not get knocked out, and get their pay day.
“I don’t care about any of that. I want to beat him. I want to fight fire with fire. The fans know that.
“That fight is definitely a fight that can happen, and I think next year, we’ll be pushing hard for that.”
Eubank Jr, the number one rated contender with the WBA at middleweight behind ‘super’ champion, Ryota Murata returns to action on October 2 against Sven Elbir at Wembley Arena.

The 31-year-old, who said last week a showdown with IBF titlist, Gennady Golovkin would happen within 12 months, was stripped of his WBA interim title last month after the governing body decided to eliminate their interim belts with immediate effect, with previous holders moving into final eliminators or becoming mandatory challengers.
Canelo announced last month that he would be facing IBF champion, Caleb Plant for the undisputed title on November 6, with an exact venue to be confirmed and Eubank Jr has plans of luring the four-weight world champion to the UK in the near future.
“It would fill the biggest stadium,” Eubank Jr added.
