Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn finally made it into the ring, and Eubank was a unanimous decision winner over twelve rounds at middleweight in a fight that was closer than the scores suggested at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Eubank vs Benn was due to take place two and a half years ago, but notoriously, Benn (23-1, 14 KOs) was caught up in a failed drug test scandal, which took a legal wrangle to clear Benn’s name. He was last seen in February last year, outscoring Peter Dobson.
Eubank Jr (35-3, 25 KOs) was last out in October 2024, taking the IBO middleweight title with a dominant seventh-round halting of Kamil Szeremeta.
The first round saw a lot thrown but little landed as both attempted to impose themselves, and after another competitive frame in the second, Benn made a breakthrough in round three, wobbling Eubank with a left hand which Eubank did well to shake off.
Eubank put together his punches well in the fourth, and grew in confidence in landing off his jab in the fifth, with the two taking their turns to dish out shots.

Benn looked like he was the one that was wilting more of the two, as he was being tagged more frequently, but he began round eight on the front foot, and troubled Eubank with a string of power shots, and the fight turned on its head once more.
Now Eubank looked the one fading, and the two unloaded once more in the tenth, the going into the trenches before Eubank had a strong final session, leaving every last drop in an attempt to sway the bout his way.
The contest went to the scorecards, where Eubank took victory by three scores of 116-112.
