Devin Haney has received widespread acclaim for his punch perfect display against Regis Prograis this past weekend, that saw him crowned a two weight world champion.

Few were expecting the fight, Haney’s first at super lightweight, to be as one sided as it was, with all three judges scoring it a shutout for ‘The Dream.’

And one of the most established pundits in America has admitted he was wrong about Haney as a fighter and did not envisage him being so dominant in San Francisco.

Speaking on ProBox TV, former welterweight world champion Tim Bradley held his hands up and gave Haney his dues.

“That was the best Devin Haney, I’m sold people. I thought he was a good fighter, but I never thought he was a great fighter or a special fighter.”

“What I saw on Saturday night was unbelievable boxing. The way he was able to control the centre of the ring, the way he was exiting and pivoting, the combinations that he was throwing, the sharp crisp right hands he was throwing right down the middle.”

“I said before I didn’t think he had punching power. I think he does have power, but it’s not one punch devastating power, though he was able to put Regis on the canvas.”

“It was the best performance of his career, I’m definitely a believer in Devin Haney now.”

Haney has always had his doubters, even as recently as after scoring back to back wins over George Kambosos and then edging out Vasiliy Lomachenko.

However, even the most ardent of his critics would have to concede the 25 year old is now undeniably a top ten pound for pound fighter.

It remains unclear as of yet what his next move will be, though mega fights against the likes of Teofimo Lopez, Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis have all been touted.

Even a move up to welterweight for a shot at Terence Crawford has been suggested, so impressive was Haney against Prograis.
