Former Welterweight British champion Bradley Skeete was impressed by Anthony Joshua’s performance against Kubrat Pulev but believes Tyson Fury will conquer ‘AJ’.
“Fury’s the man he’s the king, the gypsy king, I think he beats them all and comfortably too.” Skeete told proboxing-fans.com
Regarding Joshua’s win over Kubrat Pulev, Skeete conceded, “I thought [AJ] boxed really well. It was a decent performance and showed he can box and fight”
Speaking on his own future in the ring Bradley revealed he is back in training at the former home of his idol, “I loved [Prince] Naz [Hamed]. He was my idol and I always wanted to just see where Naz trained”
Teaming up with Dominic Ingle in Sheffield ‘Super’ Skeete joins ‘Kid Galahad’, Liam Williams, Robbie Davies Jr and Willy Hutchinson as he looks to accompany his stablemates on the title hunt.
The phone did ring for Bradley during lockdown as Eddie Hearn called him and offered him a comeback fight against Conor Benn. Having to turn the fight down as he wasn’t training at the time Skeete hopes its an opportunity that arises again.
“Eddie contcted me in July about fighting Conor Benn – if thats still available I can make 147[lbs]
“To be honest yeah [Benn is the only man i would drop down to 147 for] – I’m the king at 147”
Should the Benn offer not come through again it will be at Super Welterweight where Skeete shall campaign.
