Fight for Children charity event in DC tomorrow night: Ava Knight, Carlos Cuadras & Antoine Douglas in action

Tomorrow night at The Washington Hilton, undefeated Middleweight Antoine “Action” Douglas will take on Don Mouton (14-8-1, 12 KO’s) as part of the 25th annual Fight for Children charity event.

Douglas of Burke, Virginia has a record of 15-0-1 with 10 knockouts and has been one of the most talked about Middleweight prospects in the United States. The 22-year old has quality wins over undefeated Colby Courter (4-undefeat0) and Marquis Davis (8-0-2). Douglas was impressive in scoring a sensational 2nd round stoppage over former world title challenger Luca Messi (37-9-1) on April 4 in Parsippany, New Jersey.

Douglas and former world title challenger Michel Soro (23-1) fought at highly contested draw in a bout that Douglas dominated over the first half of the bout.

That bout headlined the 200th episode of the highly acclaimed ShoBox: The New Generation series on July 25 at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York.

In his last bout, Douglas was very impressive in breaking down and eventully stopping the durable Jose Medina on October 24 in Somerset, NJ.

“I had a beautiful training camp for Medina. I corrected my punches from the Soro fight and he was there to get hit by them”, said Douglas about the well deserved stoppage win.

“Everything is good. I got to training camp right off of my last fight and I am ready to keep pushing forward,”said Douglas. “I only took two days off and went right back into camp”

Mouton of Houston, Texas is known as a rugged puncher who has many signature wins on his docket such as wins over Josiah Judah (9-0-1), Richard Pierson (8-1), Walid Smichet (19-4-3), Jerson Ravelo (19-3), Jesse Lara (16-2-1), Samuel Clarkson (6-0). Mouton is on a two-fight knockout streak which includes a 1st round stoppage over Larry Smith on July 26 in Humble, Texas.

Douglas will not only be fighting just minutes from his Burke, Virginia home but will be fighting on this special show that will raises millions of dollars for children.

The Douglas – Mouton bout will be part of a three fight card that will feature two title bouts when Carlos Cuadras fights Marvin Mabait for the WBC Super Flyweight title. Ava Knight battle Guadlupe Martinez for the WBC International Female Flyweight title.
