Johnny Fisher is not ruling out a third outing with Dave Allen, despite suffering a devastating knockout loss to him on Saturday.
Allen stopped Fisher in brutal fashion in the fifth round of their rematch at the Copper Box Arena, almost five months on from their first clash in which ‘The Romford Bull’ secured a contentious split decision victory in Saudi Arabia.
There were very few calls for a third fight, despite the scores being level at one apiece and Allen even said in his post-fight interview that he would not entertain another bout with the 26-year-old.
Fisher though believes he could secure revenge over ‘The White Rhino’ if afforded another opportunity.
“I’m not saying no to the rematch,” he told IFLTV.

“Because if I fight the way I know I can and I should have, it can be close again and I can probably win it in a wider margin.
“That’s heavyweight boxing.
“But I’m 26-year-old.
“You have to have the sensible head on your shoulders as well.
“I’ve got a great promotional team, a great management team and we’re in a good place.
“I’m blessed to have a really good fanbase and I’m always going to be in exciting fights and that bodes a good future for me whatever road I take.
“But I’m no means against having a rematch, because I know I can make a better go of it again.”

Fisher’s promoter, Eddie Hearn told media including Pro Boxing Fans after the fight that a third fight is possible, but insisted it will not be next.
“I can see the trilogy one day,” Hearn said.
“But not next in my opinion.
“When you get a chance to run it back like we did tonight, it’s like, ‘should we have taken the rematch tonight?’

“I still think the answer is yes, because we won the first fight, it was very close.
“But if you’re going to the levels that we hope you will, you learn from the first fight and you beat Dave Allen in the rematch.
“He wasn’t good enough in that fight tonight.
“Therefore you don’t want to, having been knocked out like that, with the inexperience of Johnny Fisher, just automatically go back into number three.”
