Fisher vs Pirotton results: Johnny Fisher marked his Zuffa Boxing debut with a hard-fought points victory over Michael Pirotton at the Copper Box Arena on Saturday. Check out the Fisher vs Pirotton report below.
Fisher was dominant, yet unspectacular against Pirotton. He emerged with a majority decision victory.
Fisher was in his first bout since switching from Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom to Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing.
Pirotton caught ‘The Romford Bull’ with a one-two just 30 seconds in, as Fisher tried to trade with the Belgian.
Fisher though responded well with some accurate combinations and by the end of round two Pirotton was cut by his right eye. Blood was streaming down his face.
Fisher goes to the scorecards
Fisher reined in some hard body punches in the third, but was checked by a two-fisted combination, as Pirotton kept him honest.
The ringside doctor examined the doctor, with blood still streaming down his face, but let him to continue.
Fisher sensed his opportunity. He piled on the pressure, but was unable to deter Pirotton, who held firm amid the onslaught.
The home favourite appeared fatigued at the start off the fifth, but a left hand from Fisher seemed to momentarily stun Pirotton towards the end of the round.
Fisher used head movement to evade his rival’s attacks and Pirotton and the ringside doctor once again examined Pirotton at the start of the seventh, as his cut continued to worsen.
The pace of the fight slowed down dramatically in the closing stages of the both. Each man looked spent following a frantic start.
Fisher landed the best shot of the bout in the final round. He detonated a huge right, although Pirotton managed to absorb it.
A drawn scorecard of 95-95 was overruled by tallies of 98-92 and 96-95 to hand Fisher the victory.
Hot Rod, Cutler victorious
Radivoje Kalajdzic dropped Craig Richards in the final round, before running out a clear points winner.
Kalajdzic hurt Richards in the sixth round. The Serbian wobbled him to the ropes with a hard right hand.
Richards responded well with some accurate body shots in the seventh and worked well off his jab, without putting a major dent in his rival.

Trainer Tony Sims told Richards that he needed a knockout heading into the final round.
‘Spider’ went for broke, connecting well to the body. However, he was stunned with a right hand after landing a left hook himself.
‘Hot Rod’ landed a short right hand which crumpled Richards to the canvas. The Londoner beat the referee’s count right on the bell. But the knockout was what he needed, as three scores of 97-92 confirmed victory for Kalajdzic.
Lee Cutler put on a dominant display, overcoming Louis Greene by unanimous decision.
Many believed the bout could have been fight of the night, however it failed to really catch fire.
Cutler had to negate a strong right hand in the third round. The Bournemouth man staggered back, but regained his composure and comfortably boxed to instruction, frustrating his foe.

A score of 98-92 and two at 97-93 reflected his dominance.
Cutler called for a clash with IBF middleweight champion, Aaron McKenna post-fight.
Fisher vs Pirotton Results – Remaining Undercard
Kayla Allen got her professional career off to a winning start, forcing Edna Kiss’ corner into calling proceedings to a halt after two one-sided rounds.
Meanwhile, Leo Ruiz handed Cesar Mateo Tapia a first professional defeat by unanimous decision.
Elsewhere on the Fisher vs Pirotton report, Alex MacMillan secured another early victory, destroying the overmatched Guillaume Azagier in two rounds.
