The February 27 edition of ESPN Friday Night Fights will feature undefeated up-and-coming junior welterweight Cletus “The Hebrew Hammer” Seldin (15-0, 12 KOs) and veteran Johnny García (19-2-1, 11 KOs) the 10-round junior welterweight main event. Friday’s show from the Paramount Theater in Huntington, N.Y., will air live at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2, and is presented by Star Boxing.

Main Event:

The undefeated Seldin, who is from nearby Shirley N.Y., is coming off a ninth-round TKO win over Bayan Jargal.

“Johnny García is a ‘come at you, let it all go’ fighter,” said Seldin’s manager-trainer Pete Brodsky. “If all works out from the work we’ve been doing, you’re still going to see pressure from Cletus. Cletus grew up in the same area as Chris Algieri. One of his main goals is to show people out in Long Island – who’s the man? Who’s the guy that’s worthy of a title shot? Every guy has his own little dream, and that’s Cletus’.”

García, of Michigan, is looking to get back to his winning ways after a draw against Moises Solis.

“Seldin is undefeated. He comes forward; he’s there to fight, for sure,” said Garcia. “The matchup of styles is great. I want to go to New York and do whatever it takes to get the win. I think it really is going to be a good fight and feel like this will be a big win for me.”

Co-Feature:

Friday’s 10-round co-feature will pit welterweights Raymond “Tito” Serrano (20-2, 9 KOs) against Jeremy “Hollywood” Bryan (17-5, 7 KOs). In his last bout, Philadelphia’s Serrano scored a unanimous decision win over southpaw Jerome Rodriguez, while South Carolina’s Bryan is looking to rebound from a majority decision loss to Mikael Zewski.

Additional Fight:

Friday’s show will also include a six-round bout between undefeated junior welterweights Daniel González (7-0-1, 3 KOs) and Ken Álvarez (6-0-2, 3 KOs).
