Raymond Ford has promised a dominant performance when he faces Nick Ball on Saturday in Saudi Arabia.

Ford puts his WBA featherweight title on the line in a maiden defence against Ball as part of the Queensberry vs Matchroom card in Riyadh.

The ‘Savage’ came from behind to halt Otabek Kholmatov in the 12th and final round to secure the vacant strap in a thrilling win in March and the 25-year-old feels he will have no problems in figuring out the crafty Ball at the Kingdom Arena.

“[He’s] a pressure fighter, Ford told proboxing-fans.com.

“That’s it pretty much just a short, pressure fighter.

“They can just expect me to dominate.

“Have fun in there. Do what I do.

“I might show different things depending on what he brings out of me, what he comes in there and does.

“So, I’m looking forward to a great night of boxing.”

Ball, 27, was held to a controversial split decision draw by WBC featherweight world champion, Rey Vargas in March on the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s victory over Francis Ngannou, despite many believing he’d done enough to win after knocking down the Mexican twice.

Ford, who is signed with Matchroom, hinted at a move up to super featherweight after his victory over Kholmatov, but has decided to remain at 126lbs for his showdown with the Liverpool man.

Ball admits he has respect for the New Jersey native, but believes he will seize his second attempt at world title glory with both hands.

“He’s a world champion for now,” Ball told proboxing-fans.com.

“Come Saturday night that changes.

“Obviously I respect him, but it all goes out the window when I get in the ring with him.”
