Carl Froch has been quick to remind people throughout the years of his final fight in front of a then-record-breaking 80,000 spectators at Wembley Stadium.

Froch knocked out George Groves with what turned out to be the final punch of his storied career in their rematch in 2014.

Since retiring, ’The Cobra’ has become an outspoken pundit primarily through his popular YouTube channel, Froch On Fighting.

During the latest episode, the 47-year-old quizzed fellow former super middleweight world champion, Caleb Plant over whether he’d be tempted to fight in the UK.

’Sweethands’ jokingly suggested a clash with Froch at the national stadium would entice him to travel overseas.

“Maybe if Carl Froch comes out of retirement,” the 32-year-old said.

“We can do 80,000 at Wembley, what do you think?”

The Nottingham man quickly shut down the idea, admitting only a bout with YouTuber-turned-boxer, Jake Paul would lure him out of retirement.

“I wasn’t even going to ask you about the big 80,000 at Wembley and you said it yourself!

“The only way I’m coming out of retirement is for an easy fight with someone like Jake Paul.

“Big money. No risk. Massive reward.

“I won’t be fighting anybody like you.

“I won’t be fighting anybody who can fight, anyway.”

Plant returns to action for the first time since defeat to David Benavidez last March when he faces Trevor McCumby on Saturday on the undercard of Canelo’s clash with Edgar Berlanga in Las Vegas.

The Nashville man made his professional debut three weeks before Froch’s last fight, but feels he would have prevailed if they had ever crossed paths.

“It would have been a good fight,” he added.

“You was a rough, tough fighter.

“Hats off to you. I can’t do anything but tip my hat.

“You were a super middleweight who paved the way for super middleweights for me to come along.

“But I definitely feel like if we fought that I would have got my hand raised in that one.”
