The fallout between Carl Froch and Anthony Joshua, which ramped up by the leaking of a private WhatsApp conversation, has captivated British boxing fans over the past couple of months.

Froch and Joshua were once stablemates at Rob McCracken’s gym and appeared to have a good relationship, though that deteriorated with the launch of the former’s controversial YouTube channel, on which he criticised ‘AJ’ several times.

Things appeared to reach the point of no return earlier this month when ‘The Cobra’ aired a host of messages from Joshua and even proceeded to offer him out for a street fight.

However, the pair remarkably appeared to have made up, as per the latest upload on Froch on Fighting.

Though Joshua couldn’t resist having a little jibe at the Nottingham man, as he sent in a voice note as part of a Q & A segment.

“When you boxed Jean Pascal for your first world title, that was for a vacant title, right?

“So you didn’t beat a champion. What do you feel about that?

“You didn’t beat a champion to become a champion, if you get what I mean.

“Do you feel that win is not regarded the same as if you had gone and beat a world champion?”

Joshua’s comments are almost certainly in response to Froch criticising the IBF world heavyweight world title being on the line for his fight against Daniel Dubois in September.

In an earlier upload, the former super middleweight belt holder questioned whether Dubois or Joshua could really call themselves a legitimate world champion, given both have lost to previous belt holder Oleksandr Usyk in recent outings.

However, everything seems to be water under the bridge now – no doubt to the delight of Eddie Hearn, who currently promotes Joshua and worked with Froch through the most successful phase of his illustrious career.
