Carl Froch believes Conor Benn made an error during his interview with Piers Morgan alongside Chris Eubank Jr.
Eubank Jr and Benn both appeared on the chat show with Morgan to promoter their April 26 showdown at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The pair were supposed to have fought in October 2022, but their meeting was cancelled just days before after it emerged that Benn twice tested positive for the banned substance Clomiphene.
Despite the Essex man being cleared by the National Anti-Doping Panel in November and having his temporary suspension lifted, Eubank Jr has been damning of the situation throughout the build-up.
The Brighton man questioned his rival during their meeting on Piers Morgan Uncensored, asking him, “Were there drugs in your system?”

To which ’The Destroyer’ replied: “Maybe, maybe not.
“None of your business.
“I’ve been cleared three times.”
Former super middleweight world champion, Froch believes the 28-year-old should have given a more conclusive answer.
Speaking on his YouTube channel Froch On Fighting, the Nottingham man said: “Where he says ‘maybe, maybe not.’
“I’m not saying that’s an admission of guilt.
“But that’s kind of acknowledging that maybe there was something there, maybe there wasn’t.
“But he’s not winning anyone over is he by saying this.
“You can’t be flippant and nonchalant about failing two drug tests.

“So I kind of don’t like that bit there.
“That’s a mistake there from Conor Benn.”
Eubank Jr was handed a £100,000 fine by the British Boxing Board of Control last week for slapping Benn with an egg during their first face off at a press conference in Manchester last month.
The egg was in reference to the WBC reinstating Benn into their rankings in February 2023, deeming that a “highly-elevated consumption of eggs was a “reasonable explanation” for his failed drug tests.
Their original clash was set to take place at a catchweight of 157lbs, but their rescheduled showdown will be held at the middleweight limit of 160lbs, with a 10lb rehydration clause at a second day weigh in on the morning of the bout.
The pair will meet almost 35 years on from when their fathers fought in the first of two classic world title battles.
