Carl Froch believes Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson is “scripted” to ensure Paul emerges victorious.

Froch has been critical of Paul for years and hasn’t held back ahead of the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s clash with Tyson on Friday, which is broadcast by streaming giant Netflix.

‘Iron Mike’, who turns 59 in June, ends a near 20-year lay-off to face the 27-year-old at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The pair meet over eight, two-minute rounds in a professional sanctioned contest, but ‘The Cobra’ feels the bout will be scripted in Paul’s favour.

“I think it’s a scripted fight and will last three or four rounds,” he told GB News via Casino.org.

“Jake Paul will definitely win; Tyson might start well but then he’ll fall over.

“Paul can’t lose. It’s in the contract, he can’t lose.

“He is a useless w**ker.”

The American rivals were supposed to fight on July 20, but the fight was postponed after Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up.

Tyson, a former undisputed heavyweight champion, has been questioned for facing someone of the calibre of Paul, but Froch doesn’t feel the result will affect his legacy.

“I don’t think so, no,” he added when asked whether a defeat would impact his legacy.

“I think he’s unlikely to grab the microphone and start bragging after beating up an old man.

“If he does, he really does have more deluded energy than I thought.

“Mike Tyson is an iconic name after what he achieved in the sport when he was physically fit and capable, but not at the age of 58.”

Tyson cut a quiet figure at Wednesday’s final press conference, insisting he was just ready to fight for the first time as a professional since losing to Kevin McBride in 2005.

Paul was left to handle much of the promotion in the press conference, even confronting those on the undercard who picked the Brooklyn legend to beat him.

The pair will come face-to-face for the final time at the weigh-in on Thursday at 6pm CT.
