Carl Froch Still Would be Favored to Win Rematch Against George Groves:
Ladbrokes believe Carl Froch would win again against George Groves, despite the controversial finish to their first match this weekend, and the fact that the previously unbeaten Groves had sent Froch down to the canvas, and was winning on the scorecards at the time of the stoppage.
With talks of a rematch on the cards after the controversial stoppage in the ninth round, the bookies make the Cobra the 1/2 favorite with Groves chalked up at 6/4 to get his revenge.
And although Froch would head into the bout as the favorite, his price has drifted significantly from Saturday’s pre-match odds of 2/9.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “We took a heavy stance to lay a top-priced Froch antepost as we thought we could get him beat, and for a while that looked to be the case. Should there be round 2 of this grudge match the odds still favor Froch to come out on top.”

At the post-fight interviews and press conference, talk already turned to the potential of a rematch. It’s something that Froch has said he’s open to, even though he firmly believes that the stoppage was actually the correct call.
And this fight was in many ways a typical Froch performance, despite being sent down to the canvas. Groves got ahead, as many had predicted, but Froch bided his time and eventually started wearing Groves down and landing big shots.
Of course, the devastated Groves, who had been fighting the fight of his life up to that point, would love another crack at the Cobra too.
For fight fans, especially British fight fans, it’s another great rivalry to enjoy, and another potential pairing which could do down together in the lore of the super middleweight division.
We’ll keep you posted with any other updates on the Froch vs. Groves rematch.
