The full undercard has been announced for Juergen Braehmer’s (47-2, 35 KOs) WBA Light Heavyweight title defense against Eduard Gutknecht (29-3-1, 12 KOs) on Saturday at the Jahnsportforum in Neubrandenburg, Germany.
Braehmer and Gutknecht meet in a hotly anticipated rematch following their February 2013 European title fight, which saw Braehmer take the belt from his domestic rival with a closely contested points decision.
In front of an expected sell out crowd in Neubrandenburg, their all-German duel will receive star support from some of the country’s brightest boxing prospects including London 2012 Olympian Stefan Haertel and Germany’s youngest professional boxer Leon Bauer.
Stefan Haertel (8-0) returns to the ring in an eight-round super middleweight clash with Tobias Webb (16-4-1, 2 KOs). A fight the rising German star has described as his toughest career test to date. ‘’On paper this is definitely the toughest fight of my career so far, but I’m looking forward to the challenge and the chance to show the progress I’ve made since turning pro,’’ said Haertel.
At cruiserweight, Artur Mann (5-0, 5 KOs) will be looking to continue his KO streak as he takes on Björn Blaschke (10-7-1, 6 KOs) over eight rounds. 17 year-old super middleweight Leon Bauer (6-0, 5 KOs) contests his seventh professional fight in a four-round bout with Dino Sabanovic (0-1).
Welterweight Freddy Kiwitt (8-0, 3 KOs) battles Michael Mora (11-6, 4 KOs) over eight rounds. Ismail Özen (15-2, 12 KOs) is back in action with a six-round super middleweight fight against Aleksandar Kuvac (7-19, 5 KOs). Light middleweight Sebastian Formella (10-0, 7 KOs) meets Frane Radic (11-1, 10 KOs) in a six-round contest. Patrick Wokcicki (2-0, 1 KO) faces Slim Ben Khalifa (4-1-1, 1 KO) over four-rounds at the middleweight limit.
