Sebastian Fundora emphatically defended his WBC and WBO super welterweight titles at Michelob Ultra Centre in Las Vegas this Saturday evening, as he took a dominant fourth round stoppage win against the over-matched Chordale Booker.
Fundora (22-1-1, 14 KOs) took the vacant WBC strap, as well as the WBO title, via split decision against Tim Tszyu in March 2024, and this was his firs defence of the unified title. Booker (23-2, 11 KOs) was halted inside a round by Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams in 2022, but had won six since, the most recent coming last June, where he stopped Brian Chaves in three rounds.
Booker just simply couldn’t get to grips with the reach of the freakishly tall Fundora, who stamped his authority from the outset.
By the third round, Fundora couldn’t miss his opponent, who was quickly becoming a bloody mess, and the end was not long in coming.
A volley of short, sharp punches had Booker on the canvas, and although he beat the count, Fundora unloaded on the resumption, and with only the ropes holding Booker up, the referee had seen enough and called a halt to the action.

Gausha denied against Garcia
Terrell Gausha (24-5-1, 12 KOs) was unable to re-ignite his career, as he slipped to a ten round split decision loss to Elijah Garcia (17-1, 13 KOs) at middleweight.
Gausha challenged for the WBC title in his most recent fight, and dropped Garcia in the first round, but would be denied on the cards here. One judge had Gausha a 95-94 winner, but scores of 96-93 and 95-94 for Garcia saw him take victory.
