Tyson Fury has hailed Frank Warren as a ‘magic man’ after the Hall of Fame promoter suggested he could be awarded a trillion dollar contract.
Speaking to Queensberry Promotions’ Lockdown Lowdown, the WBC World champion praised Warren for guiding his comeback to the summit of the Heavyweight division, in the same week an agreement was reached with unified World champion Anthony Joshua for a two-fight deal in 2021.
“If any promoter out there can make it happen it’s the magic man,” Fury said.
“Frank brought me back from the absolute depths.
“He told me what he was going to do and he delivered. For that he has to be a magician.”
‘The Gypsy King’ has battled back from depression and drug addiction and despite talk of a trillion dollar contract, the 31-year-old insists he has found happiness within himself, not through money.
“I know for a true fact that no matter what money you earn, it’ll never make you happy,” Fury added.
“Money and material assets don’t make an individual happy. Happiness is found within your own self.”
Fury is set to face Deontay Wilder for a third time later this year, after the American exercised a rematch clause following his stoppage defeat in February in Las Vegas, with the winner facing mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte by February 2021.
An undisputed Heavyweight championship bout with Anthony Joshua is edging nearer, but the unified champion will face Kubrat Pulev in a rescheduled mandatory defence later this year.
